Attorneys selected to 2020 Super Lawyers List

Spartanburg, S.C.—KD Trial Lawyers. is pleased to announce that four of the firm’s attorneys have been selected to the 2020 South Carolina Super Lawyers List, an honor earned by just five percent of the state’s attorneys.

This year is  John B. White Jr.’s thirteenth consecutive year being selected to the list, as well as partner Wes A. Kissinger’s sixth consecutive year and partner Tom Killoren Jr.’s second consecutive year. New to the 2020 list is KD Trial Lawyers. partner Jeremy Dantin.

John B. White Jr. is a graduate of Wofford College with a successful legal career spanning 40 years.  His work encompasses civil, criminal, and domestic practice areas in both State and Federal Court.  John has tried hundreds of cases before a jury with numerous positive verdicts and successful settlements, including a $327-million jury verdict against Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals in 2011.  John currently represents over 20 counties in South Carolina in the battle against the opioid epidemic.  John was appointed by Governor Henry McMaster as Chairman of the Board of the South Carolina Transportation Infrastructure Bank and also serves on the State’s chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the American Association for Justice, as well as in leadership positions on numerous other boards and legal associations. About Wes Kissinger

Wes Kissinger

Wes joined KD Trial Lawyers. in 2003 after spending the first five years of his practice defending personal injury lawsuits, mostly arising from automobile collisions and commercial premises accidents, for several insurance companies.  He has applied what he learned defending lawsuits to his trial practice representing individuals and families in state and federal court.  His practice focus has remained personal injury and wrongful death claims arising from car, motorcycle and truck collisions, as well as nursing home abuse and neglect and medical malpractice.  In addition to his inclusion in Super Lawyers since 2014, Wes has been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates since 2017. About Tom Killoren Jr.

Tom Killoren Jr.

Tom Killoren has a reputation for aggressive advocacy in court and compassionate counsel for his clients. A native of Rockford, Illinois, Tom received his J.D. at UIC John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 1994 and then spent three years honing his trial skills as an assistant state’s attorney. He tried criminal felony cases and other matters in Winnebago County, Illinois before going into private practice. The results from his hard work in Spartanburg have included millions in settlements, including settlements of $3.2 million, $2.3 million, and $1.075 million, as well as numerous six-figure outcomes. Jeremy Dantin has handled workers’ compensation cases at all levels in the State of South Carolina. He is a member of the Injured Workers Advocates, the premier association for claimant’s attorneys dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of workers in workers’ compensation cases, where he formerly served on the Executive Committee. Jeremy speaks at seminars on issues regarding workers’ compensation.
